Our Story

Faith, Family, and Community

Three very important components of New Beginnings Church.

When the founders of New Beginnings Church began meeting in 1999, they knew they wanted to form a biblically-based congregation that served families, as well as the local community. So rather than being part of a large conglomerate, they chose to form a church that would feel like home - a place where friends and visitors could meet to form a church family.

So in October 1999, we held our first public worship service at the Mount Crawford Ruritan Hall. It wasn't long before a larger meeting place was needed, and in December 1999, we began meeting at Turner Ashby High School.

On May 3, 2009 we moved to our current facility at

101 Pike Church Road in Harrisonburg.

Through ministries and missions, we continue to uphold the values of faith, family, and community that our founders envisioned.

Our story is still being written. And we would love for you to be a part of it.
